Amanda Fish: Kingdom

Amanda Fish announces the release of her third studio album, Kingdom, through VizzTone. Known for her powerful blues sound, Fish continues to impress with this latest work.

Fish’s debut album, Down in the Dirt (2014), earned her the “Sean Costello Rising Star” Blues Blast Music Award. Her second release, Free, reached the Top Ten on the Billboard Blues Chart and won a 2019 Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist Album.

Kingdom was written over six years and draws inspiration from the pandemic, social unrest, and Fish’s experiences as a new parent and frontline healthcare worker. The album explores themes of faith, redemption, and hope amidst chaos, with a strong focus on truth and love.

The core band for Kingdom includes Terry Midkiff, Dom Knott, Dylan Farrell, Glen James, and Paul Niehaus IV. Contributions from Mama Moo, Billie Baumann, Bob Walther, the audience of the Augusta Ramble, and guest artists Billy Evanochko, Jeremiah Johnson, and Richard Rosenblatt add depth to the album. It was recorded and mixed by Paul Niehaus IV at Blue Lotus Studio in St. Louis and mastered by Chris Latham at Gorilla’s Nest in Nashville.

The lead single, “Mockingbird,” addresses Operation Mockingbird, a CIA initiative to spread disinformation through American news media. The song suggests that despite its official end post-Vietnam, media manipulation continues today.

With Kingdom, Amanda Fish delivers a powerful and reflective collection that speaks to contemporary issues with her signature strength and grace.
